Here's a possible MGTOW related Japanese anime movie that was released back in 1984; the title is: Macross: Do You Remember Love?
Upon opening up Wikipedia; I find that there's a whole series behind this movie. The movie is a condensed version of the entire series.

In this series, you have 3 separate species: Humans (Male and Females), Zentradi (Male) and Meltrandi (Female).
We discover that the ancestors of humanity had eventually found the capability to produce life through artificial means, such as the artificial womb.
The Zentradi (Male) and the Meltrandi (Females) are the offspring of this experiment who over millenniums have constantly reproduced only of their own sex. Both species have done this separately, on their own.
An endless battle has constantly been waged between the two factions, the males and the females. The humans however continued to reproduce through natural means and live with one another.
Both the Zentradi and Meltrandi have a disgust for one another and both have completely removed “culture” from their genes. Note that culture has not significantly been defined in this movie; therein there may be more definition in the actual animated series if both stories correlate with one another. Regardless, both are devoid of culture.
The Zentradi who at one stage capture humans and then proceed in analyzing them, soon discover to their amazement that both human males and females are capable of living with one another. They are also dumbfounded when they discover that they are able to stand one another in order procreate.
The secret to this pairing of both sexes (in humans) is found to be culture itself. One of the main characters of the movie is found singing a love song which make the Zentradi desire peace. Songs, which is a promotion of culture is found to create bonding between people.
Near the end of the movie; the Zentradi (Males) almost entirely annihilates the Meltrandi (Females). Both the Zentradi and Meltrandi have an overlord of their respected sex. The Zentradi overlord eventually kills the Meltrandi overlord. The humans then take the decision to kill the Zentradi overlord due to his irreconcilable point of view when it comes to the Meltrandi (Or opposite sex).
It's important to note that while this is happening; both the Zentradi and Meltrandi release their hatred for one another and their desire for war. Through the learning of culture from the song that is being played on the airwaves; both species now seek peace with one another.
The idea is that culture is what keeps males and females together. Anything else would have Males and Females stay in an eternal struggle between one another. This is what this anime movie is presenting.
